Cruise in Opunohu Bay and observe humpback whales in this shared tour
Cruise in Opunohu Bay and through the lagoon of Moorea:
Observe spinner dolphins and humpback whales in their natural habitat.
Snorkel with stingrays and blacktip sharks.
After picking you up from your hotel, the boat will leave our base, located in Opunohu Bay, for a short cruise in the bay, followed by a safety briefing regarding the approach to cetaceans.
Every year, between July and early November, humpback whales migrate through the warm Polynesian waters. They come here to breed or give birth, providing us with a unique opportunity to admire them.
During this excursion, we may also encounter spinner dolphins, pilot whales, and pelagic sharks.
Please note that this tour does not allow swimming with whales. If you are looking for a swimming experience with whales, please book our “Swim with Whales” tour.
On our return to the lagoon, we will also stop to swim with stingrays and blacktip sharks. This activity takes place on a shallow sandbank in the lagoon, where you can stand as the water is only waist to chest high. It is accessible to all ages, with no particular physical fitness required. You can also enjoy a break on the boat with a drink and fresh fruit.
